Dear Deer Park Vet Family,
We hope you're soaking up the summer vibes with your furry friends!
We have a BIG news alert! As the sun shines brighter and the days get longer, we're jazzed to announce we have added not ONE but TWO new doctors to our family here at Deer Park Vet. And that's not all the good news!
With three full-time doctors, we now have many new faces and many available appointment times throughout the week for you and your pets! Plus, hold onto your leashes because we've added an additional procedure day—meaning your furry pals can get neutered or have a dental on TUESDAYS, WEDNESDAYS, or THURSDAYS!
YES! That means, we'll be open until 7:00 pm three days a week!
Now, let's give a warm round of ap-paws for our fantastic new team members: Zach, our friendly Customer Service Representative, Bailey, our skilled Registered Technician, and our dynamic duo of future vets here for a summer of learning and adventure! With their passion and dedication, our team is more paws-itively awesome than ever!
Lastly, since we have added so many times throughout the week, we have come to the decision to be closed on Saturdays. We know this may come as a disappointment or a worry to some, but fear not! Our commitment to providing top-notch care for your furry companions remains steadfast. With our expanded team and revamped schedule, we're gearing up to serve you better than ever before!! Plus, with extended hours on select weekdays, getting your pet the care they need has never been more convenient. While we understand that Saturdays may hold a special place in your hearts, we assure you that this adjustment allows us to focus on delivering the best level of service during the week while giving our team the rest they deserve. So, get ready to experience a whole new level of veterinary care – we can't wait to continue this journey with you and your pets!

DR. JADE SCOTT, DVM
Dr. Scott was born and raised in Detroit, Michigan, located at the lower right-hand aspect of the Mitten! Her inspiration for becoming a veterinarian arose while spending time in the living room and watching Nature Documentaries, Animal Rescue, and various veterinarian shows on Animal Planet with her Grandmother when she was a young child. Dr. Scott was absolutely fascinated with the lives of animals, and became inspired when she learned that she could study and help them in a multitude of ways.

Dr. Scott graduated with her Bachelors from Howard University in 2013. Her dreams began to take flight when she later obtained her Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine from The Ohio State University in May 2022. She worked at a General Practice Vet Hospital within the state of Ohio for 2 years, and is absolutely ecstatic to join the Deer Park Veterinary Hospital Team! Dr. Scott is currently working on her Fear Free Certification and is an active member of the American Veterinary Medical Association (AVMA),
Dr. Scott now lives in Cincinnati, Ohio and in her free time, she enjoys nature hikes, traveling, and spending quality time with her incredible Family and Friends.

DR. JEFF GREENFIELD, DVM
Dr. Greenfield grew up in a suburb of Rochester, NY, where he developed a love of animals from a young age. He fell in love with the next door neighbor’s Irish Setter, then later got his first pets, a pair of guinea pigs. He became involved with 4H in a club focused on rabbits and guinea pigs, went on to breed guinea pigs, and has had them as pets for over 3 decades. Since getting married, his family has developed a strong affinity to cats as well.
Oh, yeah!! You read that right! Dr. G sees pocket pets!!
Harry, your hamster can now come to DPVH whenever he needs!

Dr. Greenfield completed his undergraduate studies at Washington University in St. Louis in 1993 and found that the Midwest suited him well. He spent some time in graduate school (planning to become a child psychologist) before changing career paths, and later graduated from Purdue University School of Veterinary Medicine in 2002. He joins the team at Deer Park Veterinary Hospital after practicing small animal and pocket pet medicine in Hebron, KY for 22 years. He has been Fear Free Certified since 2017 and is USDA Accredited.
Dr. Greenfield’s family includes Joy, his wife of 30+ years, and two grown children, Alex and Megan. The family currently lives in Hebron, KY with their 4 cats and two guinea pigs. Jeff enjoys hiking, camping, backpacking, kayaking, disc golf, and softball in his free time, but his greatest passion outside of work is curling (the Olympic sport sliding rocks on ice). In addition to enjoying competitive curling, he serves as a board member and lead instructor for the Cincinnati Curling Club in West Chester, OH.

ZACH HUSTON
Step into the world of Zach, a man of many talents and a heart full of love for our furry companions! Before joining our team, Zach held the prestigious role of Resort Operations Supervisor at a local boarding facility, where his passion for ensuring the well-being of animals truly blossomed. His journey with animals began at a tender age when he welcomed his first family dog into his home, igniting a flame that has burned brightly ever since. While Zach has always held a special place in his heart for dogs, his time with our delightful house cats has transformed him into quite the feline aficionado! Hailing from Cincinnati and calling Blue Ash his home, Zach shares his space with two adoring dogs who are his faithful companions through thick and thin. When he's not busy caring for our beloved pets, you can find Zach immersed in the virtual worlds of video games, indulging in the magic of movies, or simply unwinding in his hammock, basking in the serenity of nature. With his vibrant personality and unwavering dedication, Zach adds an extra sprinkle of charm to our veterinary family!

Meet Bailey, a Texan native who found her home in the scenic landscapes of Northern Kentucky. Since childhood, she's been drawn to the world of animals, and her journey led her to graduate from Brown Mackie College with a degree in Veterinary Technology back in 2015. But it's not just any area of expertise for Bailey—she's all about dentistry when it comes to our furry friends. When she's not busy ensuring their smiles are as bright as can be, Bailey indulges in the thrill of true crime podcasts and enjoys the company of her adorable pug, Daisy. With her expertise and her charming quirks, Bailey adds a unique flair to our veterinary family.

Meet Hayden, a Milford native with a heart as big as her hometown! Currently enrolled at Lincoln Memorial University College of Veterinary Medicine, Hayden's passion for animals of all shapes and sizes is contagious. From the tiniest kitten to the grandest Great Dane, Hayden's love knows no bounds. We're thrilled to have her join us for the summer, learning and growing alongside our team of dedicated doctors. With Hayden's enthusiasm and dedication, we're confident she'll make a paw-some addition to our field!

Jessica is gearing up for her third year at North Carolina State University's vet school this fall, and she's buzzing with excitement! Her passion for all things furry and fabulous has led her down some pretty interesting paths, but her heart beats loudest for zoo medicine, oncology, and giving our senior pals the TLC they deserve. But hey, it's not all serious stuff! When she's not hitting the books or saving the world one paw at a time, you'll find her hanging out with her furry besties, Abbey Road (yes, she's named after the legendary album!) and Copper. Sure, Jessica’s guitar skills might still need a little work, but hey, who needs perfection when you've got a heart full of love and laughter, right?

What is the Root Cause of Pet Drowning?
Many pet owners mistakenly believe that dogs and cats are born knowing how to doggie paddle and, while many do have an innate ability to swim and many dogs use it for exercise, the trouble is being able to get out of a pool or hot tub.
