Associate Veterinarian
Dr. Jeff Greenfield grew up in a suburb of Rochester, NY, where he developed a love of animals from a young age. He fell in love with the next-door neighbor’s Irish Setter, then later got his first pets, a pair of guinea pigs. He became involved with 4H in a club focused on rabbits and guinea pigs, went on to breed guinea pigs, and has had them as pets for over 3 decades. Since getting married, the family has also developed a strong affinity for cats.
Dr. Greenfield completed his undergraduate studies at Washington University in St. Louis in 1993 and found that the Midwest suited him well. He spent some time in graduate school (planning to become a child psychologist) before changing career paths, and later graduated from Purdue University College of Veterinary Medicine in 2002. He joins the team at Deer Park Veterinary Hospital after practicing small animal and pocket pet medicine in Hebron, KY for 22 years. He has been Fear Free Certified since 2017 and is USDA Accredited.
Dr. Greenfield’s family includes Joy, his wife of 30+ years, and two grown children, Alex and Megan. The family currently lives in Hebron, KY with their 4 cats and two guinea pigs. Jeff enjoys hiking, camping, backpacking, kayaking, disc golf, and softball in his free time, but his greatest passion outside of work is curling (the Olympic sport sliding rocks on ice). In addition to enjoying competitive curling, he serves as a board member and lead instructor for the Cincinnati Curling Club in West Chester, OH.
